Great progress reported on Mayflower Mountain Resort Development infrastructure, military hotel.

Kaysville, Utah – Jan. 10, 2022 – The Board of the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA) was
presented Monday with an independent auditor’s report showing no findings, according to the Salt Lake City
audit firm, Keddington & Christensen.

Monday was the MIDA board’s first gathering of the New Year and the public meeting was held virtually.

MIDA is a State of Utah authority created in 2007 to further economic development across multiple
jurisdictions, bringing together private and public enterprise and promoting military initiatives. MIDA has the
top two economic development projects in the State of Utah: The Falcon Hill National Aerospace Research
Park in Davis and Weber County, and the Military Recreational Facility (MRF) Project Area in Wasatch County.

Steven Rowley, the certified public accountant who presented the audit report, highlighted MIDA’s change
from an Enterprise Fund to Governmental Fund accounting as being very successful.

“They knocked it out of the park,” Rowley said.

MIDA Board Chair and President of the Utah Senate, Stuart Adams, acknowledged the significant transition
and credited MIDA staff for their work and “amazing report.”

MIDA’s Chief Financial Officer, Paula Eldredge, provided financial highlights from 2021 and projections for
2022, noting that MIDA managed to the budget the board approved.

• MIDA Deputy Director Ariana Farber delivered an overview of 2022 military quality of life initiatives,
  highlighting:
  Exploring new childcare facilities and attainable housing for service members. Farber noted the
  demand for both childcare and housing is very much acknowledged by MIDA.
• New partnerships, expand recreational opportunities for active-duty service members and veterans.
• The creation of active transit and sustainable recreational trail opportunities.

Three project area updates were also provided by representatives from Sunset Ridge Development Partners,
EX Utah, and Skyridge. Notably at the Wasatch County-based resort, the Military Welfare and Recreation hotel
construction is now going vertical with an expected completion in June of 2024; the first phase of voluntary
clean-up and remediation work is complete; 17 miles of access roads are complete; and the 402 Pioche
Apartments will be open Fall of 2022.
